Blue Bow Tie
We went to another adoption event today to show off Porkchop and my foster kittens. Porkchop has done great with the kitties so he hung out with me in cat land and kept the ladies laughing. He was quite a charmer with his blue bow tie.

When I met Porkchop...
Mr. Porkchop has been with the rescue about as long as I have been fostering. He had been living at the ranch for three years. The poor fellow was getting anxious at the ranch. It's a nice place, but most dogs would prefer a less busy environment like a home. He was in need of a foster home where he could get comfortable and learn all about life as a pampered pet.
I had met him at adoption events before and each time he was a little chubbier. He may have been anxious, but Porkchop sure was enjoying free range kibble! He happily trotted around the adoption events and was always a big hit with everyone, but for some reason he never had any takers. I decided that as soon as I had a free space, Porkchop would have to come home with me. Today was that day. Porkchop came off of the LDCRF van ready to go! He walked right beside me as we navigated the adoption event. He patiently waited as we interviewed families adopting pups. Whatever we were doing, Porkchop was happy to be included.
After a busy adoption day and meeting lots of new people, Porkchop had won my heart. He was gentle with kids of all ages and tolerate of even the most bouncy puppies jumping in his face. He was a sweet little chub chub for sure. When it was time to go home, Porkchop jumped right into the car with us. He soaked in the air conditioning and looked out the video with a goofy grin on his face.
When we arrived home, Porkchop got to meet our crazy pack of pups - a bossy terrier, shy shepherd, and a goofy pit bull. Porkchop got along well with all of the pups and was instantly a new member of the pack. He has proven to be a great sport, even with bouncy active pups. He is so easy going that he can be friends with everyone.
Before long, Porkchop had discovered the soft, fluffy dog beds. He doesn't care much about toys, but he is an expert napper.
And oh so cute!
